After listening to customer and staff feedback that our showroom environment was a little stark, we have approached Blackpool & The Fylde College to assist us in creating a display for our walls to make our premises more inviting and welcoming, as well as providing a cultural experience to all that visit!
Following on from the recent ‘Story of Joy’ campaign, photography students of the University Centre have been issued a competition brief to ‘produce an image or series of images on the theme of Joy.’
Customer Relationship Manager, Michelle Walker said “We’re really excited to see what the students are going to produce and how they have managed to convey the feeling of Joy in their photographs. The BA (Hons) Photography, BA (Hons) Wildlife and Environmental Photography and the Foundation Degree and BA (Hons) Photography and Digital Design courses have an international reputation for producing photographers of the highest calibre, so we’re thrilled that they’ve agreed to work with us.”
James Smith, Programme Leader at Blackpool & Fylde College said, “When Derek Woodman BMW approached us to work on a project for them we jumped at the chance. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our students to work on a live brief for such a prestigious client, and produce a range of creative images for them. The students are very enthusiastic about the project and the prospect of an exhibition in the showroom space.”
Selected photography will be displayed in the BMW showroom with a special exhibition evening planned in late Spring.
